Hee-hee! I was just goofing on myself, Hans. Also, right around that time
I and some other folks who participate in another web forum were embroiled
in a spat over what constitutes legitimate criticism and what's merely petty
sniping. My "critique" of my own photo was an example petty sniping -
trashing another's work while trying to sound intellectually superior. I
try never to do that to other folks, tho' occasionally my quirky sense of
humor gets me in trouble.
Since I don't (yet) use OM gear as my "regular" photo equipment (it's
primarily for documenting petrified wood structures) I just didn't have a
really creative entry for TOPE 4. The nearest to abstract image I had was
that thing of a livestock waterer, in which the only in-focus object was the
overhead tree reflected in the water. When I looked at it later it just
seemed so ordinary compared with the many truly creative entries in TOPE 4.
(I don't like to play favorites, but I'd love to have a copy of John Lind's
entry on my wall...)
Now, I could have cheated and entered some nifty stuff taken using my
Can-not-an-OM-on gear...but that would be wrong...and the bokeh would be a
dead giveaway.

I was just wondering Lex, what was the meaning of your comment on your own
entry?
