Kodak makes a do-it-yourself kit for this. It's been several years since I've used it but the results were good. Haven't compared it with Scala though.

The Kodak kit I know of is for TMax 100 only (not even TMax 400). According to their data sheet on TMax 100 you need to shoot it at EI 50 if you're going to reverse it into transparency. Don't know why, I've never used it, just researched B/W transparency. Dropped the idea using TMax 100 at EI 50 when I found Scala 200X and started using it.
