Welcome to the Olympus family. I think you started with a nice setup. The
OM-10 is a nice, light little camera. They can be prone to a shutter
problem, but the ones I've owned (except one) have worked perfectly.
The 50/1.8 is also the perfect first lens. It's the normal lens and will be
one of your most often used lenses.
Go out and take a lot of pictures!
Be sure to ask as many questions as you'd like here on the list. We're a
pretty friendly bunch and there are a lot of knowledgeable people here. I
learn something new on the list every day.
