It's usually more economical to just replace a damaged element than to
repair it. Perhaps Sigma still has parts available for this lens. If
parts are unavailable, there are two places that I know of which will
re-coat elements. The first one is http://www.skgrimes.com and the other
is http://www.focalpointlens.com. Be prepared for a bit of "sticker shock",
I've heard the prices are high since the process is rather labour intensive.
I haven't used either of these two places (yet :-) so I have no idea what
the quality of their work is.
