[OM] Dumbest question

OK, I now noticed that the lens comes with a filter, and there's dirt 
in between the lens and the filter...  Question, how do I remove the 
filter???

I tried unscrewing it, but it won't budge, and I don't want to force 
it.  Am I doing something wrong???
