Hi,
If the batteries are dead, then flash sync does not work as the circuitry
is electrical, not mechanical. I did this once, thinking that I could use
the OM-4T for some important pictures with the battery dead, rather than
take the B&W film out of the OM-1. All came back black.
Hmmm, that's a pity: I was hoping that the flash would actually fire during
the 1/60th second that the film is exposed...:(
Either way, maybe not all is lost, however, as when the camera still had
power I checked the measured shutter speed at f2; this was 1/30th, so the
shots I took should then be about 1 stop underexposed. This is on Fuji
Provia 100F, can anyone tell me if these shots will still be usable now, or
should it be better to push the rest of the film to 200 ASA and have it
developed as such?
Cheers!
Olafo
