Once again, the 'Haves' have more... I can't get DSL, and cable modem is
incredibly expensive- $80/month. I am not a cable subscriber, and don't want
to be. But to get the cable internet, it's $40 for premium service
(required) and $40 for the internet service. No other options with this
company. Poor Poor Pitiful 56K me.
$80.00 U.S./month? YIKES!
'maxinter.net' (your ISP, according to your e-mail address) is in Baltimore
Maryland, no? I thought that was the centre of the Internet Universe (or
close to it, at least in the U.S.).
Here in Edmonton, unlimited xDSL (mostly ADSL) is $34.95
CDN/month. Cable's $39.95/month. My TELUS PLAnet ADSL service is about
two hops away from the Canadian backbone (going into the multi-gigabit
range by 2001).
What gives in The Land of the Free and the Home of The Brave? Sounds to me
like you folks are getting boned by your ISPs.
