No, the OM-2(n) use the you-can-get-everywhere 1.5V alkaline or silver oxide
batteries (SR44 or LR44). BTW, it seems to me that you have taken the
OM-2(n) as "fully mechanical" SLR. They are not. Whilst the OM-1(n) are
mechanical, the 2 are battery dependent. The fact that the 2 have a manual
mode does not turn them into mechanical cameras.
