my lenses are kept in airtight food containers with a bag of silica gel keeping them company, the theory being they remain dry and light can get to them. Andrew Fildes mentioned on this list its a bad idea to keep lenses like this amongst other things it can desiccate lens cement. Prehaps it would be better to use non airtight containers still with the silica gel but drying the bags out occasionally. Any thoughts on the subject would be useful. Nigel |
