The battery dies quickly.
The Vivitar 283 is not a TTL-type flash. It uses its own sensor. The 283
would work on any OM body, but not TTL. The 283 would function like a
T-series flash in AUTO mode.
Shoe 2 would let the OM-2 work with the 310 in TTL mode. The Shoe 3 would
allow you to use any current T-series flash in TTL mode.
