Hi,
Alright, for once I'll add a bit to an OT airplane thread:
Lockheed SR71. aka blackbird, aka The Sled.
I saw one of those in an airplane museum in Mesa Arizona/Nevada/Utah (I
believe the place was called Mesa, and that it was in one of these three
states, but I'm not 100 ertain), it's much smaller than I had thought! I
also saw one of the two A-9 prototypes over there, it looks much prettier
than the A-10, but it also looks less aggressive (read: impressive).
My two favourite plane: Sukhoi SU-27, Spitfire.
Some of my other personal favourites: MIG 29, F14, SR-71, Me-262, P-51,
Me-109.
Now some ON topic stuff: I shot quite a few planes with my OM-40 and 50/1.8
and 135/2.8 [such as the Spitfire (yes!! a flying one!!!), the SR-71 and the
A9, and I have seen several more on air shows (e.g. the MIG 29 - flying(!))
and in museums]. I have yet to see and shoot the F14, Me-262, Me-109, and
the SU-27 though...
Hmmm, are there still any flying Me-262s and/or Me-109s left?!?
Cheers!
Olafo
