Hi All,
I found a Trip 35 looking lost, forlorn & a little worse for wear &
tear in a local 'Cash Converters' store.
I purchased it for a mere A$5.00 (about US$2.85), & nursed it all the
way home...
I cleaned the caked dirt (literally Bay of Biscay clay!!) out of the
shutter release & the leatherette dimples, & now it looks a million
dollars.
The ASA & focus rings were loose, I dismantled far enough to find the
stepped screws & secure them, with apparently satisfactory results.
Trouble is, I rubbed off the marks I made to realign the front element
with the focus ring. Does anybody know how to calibrate this (short of
taping a focus screen to the film plane & holding the shutter open
from under the top cover, of course)?
thanks in advance,
DavidT,
