The old Minolta Rokkor 45/2 was a similar pooch. Decent optics but
plasticky construction, definitely intended as a cheapest possible novice's
lens. Not a bad loupe.
If I stumbled across a Zuiko 40/2 cheap enough I'd play with it for a while,
then sell it to finance a nice set of the 35RC, 35SP and 35RD, plus maybe
another Canonet GIII QL17 with its nice 40/1.7 lens.
