Nah, don't be discouraged, Mike. I thought your post was worth reading and
was entirely valid as-offered: personal observations, not scientific proof.
For every MTF, LPM, etc., I also want to hear a user's opinion.
Also, keep in mind that creation is hard but anybody with a hacksaw can do a
post-mortem.
FWIW, I've struggled for a couple of years over whether to continue shooting
my petrified wood project in 35mm or switch to MF. If grant funding comes
through and the grant permits equipment purchases I might add MF or even LF
gear. But the fact remains that if I hadn't decided to shoot with 35mm
gear, I wouldn't have any photos at all.

...the real problem with this test was that I bothered to post it to this
group at all. It seems that a select few have seen fit to plug in their own
version of how I did it all wrong while conviently forgetting a couple of
things. ONE, I did this for myself, and only thought to post results to
this group when, after the fact, I thought that they might interest
people...
