Once upon a time, when my parents owned a camera store, we sold my uncle an
AE-1. I got to do a foam replacement on it recently...and it looked like
hell: broken battery compartment door (the door was still there, but the
latch had broken off), trashed-out, gooey foam, scratched mirror, spring
dangling from the mirror hinge...! Still, it runs...but it was enough to
make me wish we'd sold him an OM-10 instead.
