If you mark it as a gift and in contents put "used part - no commercial value"
it usually seems to work. You can'tr insure it though. If you put insuruance on
the package it will be valued for at least that much by customs. I hae shipped
stuff to Canada and a number of overseas destinations this way nad never had a
problem.
