Olympus Vision age was a publication Olympus came out with, that from my
understanding was supposed to be an on going publication, a magazine that
was mailed out to either customers or camera dealers. The
magazine/publication
which advertised Olympus technology, cameras etc., had great photo's taken
by Zuiko's.
For some reason they stopped on the 18th magazine, probably due to the shake
up Olympus had during this time, when the OM-10 flopped along with the OM-77
auto-focus. Both of these cameras were great cameras, however they had some
sort of defect when first produced, dealing with a sticky magnet. Because so
many came back for warranty repair, camera salesmen pushed the famous Canon
AE-1. Word of mouth is the best/worst advertising?
In the 80's Chevrolet did the same sort of thing with Corvette News.
(photos weren't as great) (It was free, publication to all Corvette buyers
during the 80's)
