I have been playing around with the focusing screen project and have made a
little discovery that folks who are doing this might be interested in. How
deep you score the line in the screen makes a big difference in the
viewfinder. Lightly scored lines are very subtle when viewed through the
finder while heavily cut lines are much more prominent. With a little
practice you can get something you like. I now have a 1-13 screen scored into
a 'rule of thirds' pattern. the weight of the lines is midway between my1-10
screen and my Beattie screen - perfect!
