Novoflex bellows especially the older ones are nice and compact and were also
resold by Leica. The Novoflex "Noflexar" macro lenses have a reasonable
reputation. Prices can be as low as $100 or so total for bellows and lens.
The older Novoflex bellows which have a leica 39mm screw thread can also take
an enlarger lens that makes a really excellent flat field preset lens. You
can sometimes get a bellows for as little as $40 and a reasonable enlarger
lens can be had for even less. Watch out for stripped gears on the bellows,
as dirt can get trapped and the Aluminum track then gets stripped. Novoflex
appears to still supply many parts for even very old bellows so buying a
stripped unit might make sense if you are handy.
