I've been scouring the thrift stores and pawn shops for a very cheap,
working projector to replace my old Kodak for which a replacement bulb costs
more than some entire projectors. Found a Minolta AFT/2 for five bucks.
Elated by good luck I decided it was time to give mom "her" iS-2 f=40cm
macro lens that I'd been holding back (bad boy). So now she has the hefty
multi-element iS-series macro lens and I have the single element f=40cm
version. I'll shoot some slides soon to see how they compare.
Anybody know about these Minolta projectors? Not sure how old it is but I
haven't found a listing in anyone's used ads. Couldn't tell much from our
ancient (uh, 43 y/o, bought the same month I was born), tape-repaired,
wobbly, wavy projection screen, but the lens seems capable of decent
sharpness.
