Hi,
just stumbled today over a used F280, since I have never had one in
my hands I'm wondering about the following:
how does the flash-pipe inside the flash looks ?
(not pressing the flash button when looking at it of course ;-)
has this pipe any color ?
wondering because it looks somehow yellowish (it's not the
front glas of the flash that looks like yellow) and
neither my T20 nor my T32 has this look alike. they tend to
have 'no' color at all.
Is this color a bad sign, so I should go away from it and not
looking behind my or perfectly normal and grab it ?

I bought my F280 new about 4 years ago and has not been used alot.
The flash tube area does appear to be a little amber. It is difficult
to see the actual tube or pipe due to the fresnel lenses molded into
the front. I think that is consistent with flash units from many
manufacturers and probably is to balance the color of the flash to
daylight.
