X-rays? Probably not.
Last year I passed through London Heathrow, which probably has some of the most
antiquated X-ray clunkers in the Western industrialized world. They flat-out
refused to hand-inspect my film (although they were quite polite about it), and
I handed over my babies with some trepidation.
When I got home and processed everything, it all looked great. Mixed bag of
Kodak and Fuji stuff, some neg, some tranny. No problems as far as I could
tell.
Oh yeah, each film canister had been scanned at least four times by various
X-ray machines in both directions. Several had been scanned six times. All
had been scanned at least twice by the Heathrow clunkers.
