: 1. Is there an Oly lens or accessory that you wonder why you bought
: it because it is not that great? That is, not that great.
Eyecup 2 w/o correction lens. Completely useless to prevent false light
entering the viewfinder.
: 2. Is there an Oly lens or accessory that is just fine, but you find
: that you just don't use it. That is, just done use it much.
The Varimagnifinder - it has its use, but not as much I hoped it would have.
: My nomination for #1 is the 2-13 focussing screen added to my OM4T.
I'm not too happy with that one either - ever since I started to use 2-4's I
just hate those focusing aids that are more distracting than helpful.
: After pretty extensive looking through it in dim light with various
: lens, I'll be darned if I can tell much difference in the brightness
: or ease of focus.
Its matted area is much brighter than an 1 series in an OM-3/4; I've never
tried modifying a 2 series and putting it in an OM-1/2, though.
: My nomination for #2 is the Varimagni finder, and the 135mm focal length
lens.
There can't be anything wrong with the 135mm focal length, otherwise I
wouldn't have five of them!
