Hi-
On my wife's Stylus zoom, the flash is no longer working. Here are the
symptoms:
In any kind of a low light situation, when you press the shutter button, two
LED's light up next to the viewfinder. On the bottom, a green one stays on
while the shutter button is pressed. Above, an amber LED flashes while the
shutter button is pressed. Even if I press the shutter for 30 seconds, no
picture is taken, the LED just blinks. If I turn the flash off, it will take a
picture, leaving the shutter open long enough to get a picture.
I tested the battery with a voltmeter, and found that it had about 3.1 volts.
Not bad for a 3 volt battery.
Now- does anyone have an idea what is wrong? Is it likely to be repairable?
The camera was dropped recently (from a countertop to the kitchen floor), but
in every other respect seems to be working just fine.
Thanks, Steve Goss
