I have one of those babies. It only has 'OLYMPUS 35-70mm Japan' on it.
Picked it up in the 'hoods' bin at Quiggs in Glasgow for a pound. Didn't
know if it would fit my f4 (of course, no) but bought it anyway. I use the
flared one marked '35-105 f3.5-4.5' on my 35-70 f4. I always pick up Olympus
hoods if they're available.
Just last night I was scanning in some old 6x6 photographs taken years ago
in the Cairngorms and noticed for the first time what can only be a red
squirrel in one of the trees. Never noticed it before (20 years...!). I used
to chase those little varmints around Glen Derry trying to get a shot of
one. This photograph was just a landscape, and there it is! Mind you, it's
just a reddish-brown blob, not useful for illustrating 'British Wildlife' or
some such.
I'll be feverishly examining all those old pinewood shots, now.
Donald.
