My wife actually gave her approval to this method, that is the buying and
selling of cameras, etc. I also use the excuse that the "kids" are now
getting into the appreciation of photography and need good equipment. Like
I would let them regularly use the good stuff! ;_)

I can recommend my own -almost unintentional - method; buying and selling
at so
fast a tempo so that it is difficult to keep track of the current financial
balance. In the last 9 months I have bought 6 OM bodies, 1 iS-3000, 11
lenses,
1 winder, cases, etc,, and sold 6 bodies, 8 lenses, cases, etc. I am actually
ahead financially, and have replaced my OM-2S and OM-1n with OM-4Ti,
OM-2n, and
iS-3000. I explain that new purchases are so cheap that I can not fail to
make a
profit; but my biggest problem is that I hate to sell the things that I
buy.......but I manage to keep some of them!
