I bought mine new in Aust about two years back. i think it was about
$40 or so (about $20US) . It is still avail as a new item from John H
for US$29 according to his web site.
The 18mm is such a rare (and expensive) lens, I didn't want to use mine without the adaptor for protection of that lovely front element while I waited for a S/H 49->72 adaptor to come up. peter The Olympus 49-72mm step up ring continues to elude me. Does anyone in Zuikoland know of a Brand X step up ring that is an adequate substitute for the Olympus? In other words, one that will fit on the 18mm and place the filter at a proper distance from the front element of the lens (not touching it). Does anyone have an Olympus ring they would sale or know where one might be found. With all the really tough problems addressed and solved bythis group, this one should be a walk in the park.
