Fair enough, Frank, and all are reasonable suggestions which I will observe.
One amendment: I don't have much in the way of guns anymore; swapped or sold
most of 'em to acquire what I enjoy 'shooting' far more - cameras. ;^)

I am with you, Lex.
Of course Mike must be able to post about problems with his Olympus
equipment when photographing racing events...
I would say a simple set of rules must be enough to serve as a basis
for the necessary self-moderation. Necessary, that is, to prevent
readers from being annoyed - and to keep list traffic within limits at
the same time.
Just a few ideas:
1. ...If you want to sell, buy
or trade, please use the corresponding tags [FS] etcetera...
2. Other photographic subjects with little or no Olympus content _may_
be valuable to the list members, and of course they should be
tolerated...Use of the [OT]
tag might be appropriate.
3. In principle all postings without any photographic content are out
of bounds. But let's not be too strict: if someone thinks that some
other list members cannot live on without sharing his views or ideas,
let him take responsability and post. The [OT] tag is mandatory here.
4. If a message is important to specific list members only, use
private email...
