A good phrase to keep in mind...

Obviously a thinly veiled attack on a man whom I for one consider a
friend I have made on this list from someone I don't recall contributing
much, if anything lately.
In a message dated 10/6/00 "Tom Scales" <tscales@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> replies
(and rightfully so IMO):
<< What is the problem with you people? He made a joke. Use the delete
key.
I'm particularly tired of personal attacks like this, especially since I
didn't make any reference at all to a car.
If your goal is driving me away from the list, you're succeeding. >>
It really is getting ridiculous. The Tom Scales I know (who I met via
this list and have yet to meet in person) is a very generous, kind, and
helpful person. Personal slams based on apparent jealousy, or something,
are childish and ridiculous.
Tom is correct, the delete key works great. I have noticed a concerted
effort from all involved to keep the forum more OT and not drift away
from OM content. In light of this, why on earth the public persoanl
slams? That kind of post is not only as far OT as one can get, but is
tasteless and uncalled for. Nuff said...I say anymore and I'll be
stooping to Larry's level.
