I have a couple of $5.00 (US$2.80)disposals store no-name flashes which
I have modified with an internal slave trigger (paralleled with the
shoe). they have a trigger contact voltage of around 300V. I had to use
one of these on my OM-10 a couple of times, & the flash sync did not
work at all, even though the flash went off (camera set for Manual @
1/60 sec).
my Vivitar 1900 works just fine (flash trigger voltage is around 140V),
& shoe trigger voltages are the same polarity.
it IS strange stuff...
