Just curious Gary, have you ever tested, (or looked into testing) the
Samyang 18-28mm f4-4.5 MC zoom? I just got one, and it seems to be a
very well made lens, with f4-4.5 only being a 1/3 stop difference (as
opposed to the very inconvenient f3.5-4 1/2 stop difference on the
19-35mm phoenix/Samyang lens.)
Also, it has the 4 screws holding the mount together, but they're set
into a groove, and the reset button on my OM-4T seems to ride on the
ridge. For the price, (I paid $90 in new looking shape, with 72mm UV
filter & shipping included), it fills a void nicely for me. If you've
tested it, or know where a test of it can be found online, please email
to the list here.
Thanks!
Larry
