IMHO enlarging lenses make very good macro lenses in conjunction with Olympus bellows . The only snag being manual stop down from focussing aperture. I have had good results from Nik*n and Schneider 50mm lenses. I have not tried camera lenses in my enlarger but read somewhere that the heat could effect any cemented elements in the lens.Save the 50mm to use as a loupe and buy a decent second hand enlarging lens.
