[OM] 310 Strobe Which Shoe

Will a shoe 3 work with a 310 strobe on my OM2?  Or must I use a Shoe 2.  The 
instructions for the OM2 say "shoe 2" but they predate the advent of the T-20 
which uses a shoe 3.  I want the TTL capability of the 310.
