Without more info about your lens it's difficult to say whether it's a
dedicated mount for something like a Pentax Spotmatic, or a T-mount lens.
Here's a photo of one of my T-mount lenses with the T-mount adaptor removed:

If your lens is similar to this, it's probably a T-mount. A few things to
look for:
1. No spring-loaded pin projecting from rear mount;
2. Completely manual diaphragm - iris closes when aperture ring is turned.
Also it may have two aperture rings - one is a "stop" ring which lets you
preset the minimum aperture desired, which facilitates no-look operation of
the diaphragm after focusing at maximum aperture;
3. Finally, if I'm not mistaken, T-mount threads have a coarser pitch than
those of Pentax Spotmatic threads (and similar mounts including old Yashica,
Fujica and a few others). This may be difficult to determine without
another lens to compare with.

Subject: [OM] Lens mount question from amateur

I found a 3rd party lens, thru the internet, that has a screw mount (Owner
is no help, estate sale). Will a T-mount "fit" this lens or will I have to
purchase a screw mount adapter (for Olympus)? TIA.
