If I'm not mistaken, it would potentially affect contrast rather than
sharpness, so when you do try it, I would set up some comparisons with your
21/3.5 and evaluate for that.

I think John H. has a basic starting-point of about $80 for CLA on a lens.
That's however a dim recollection from an inquiry in the relatively distant
past. Don't hold either of us to it!
