Last night I finally got around to making partitions for the large softsided
cooler I bought for five bucks last year. The sheet of closed cell foam
(for cushioning sleeping bags) cost more - about eight bucks.
It looks sloppy right now but I'll see today how it functions.
The softsided cooler seems to do the trick - keeps stuff at relatively the
same temperature and the only comments I hear are things like "You're so
smart to carry your own," or "My, you must have quite an appetite!"
Mom carries her iS-2, wallet and a bottle of something for the
grandson/great grandson in her smaller softsided cooler.

My solution to carrying a photo bag that doesnt look like a photo bag?
i dont. i use good ol' plain backpacks that any college kid would carry,
and modify the interior as i see fit.
