Sorry to say that, but I suspect your lens is damaged. I have an 180mm
and I'm not able to detect that chromatic aberrations. I've recently
shoot a series of architecture photos and non of them show chromatic
aberrations*, neither with wide open aperture nor stopped down.
Can you tell us under which conditions this aberrations have shown,
what kind of loupe projector, enlarger do you use to examine the
photos?
I'm really curious.
Best regards
Richard
*Under reasonable viewing conditions, no microscopes. I once had an
17mm Vivitar lens which produced such aberrations under certain
conditions and I also had EOS zoom lens which showed absolutely
horrible chromatic aberrations. In the case of the EOS lens it was
definitely not caused by a damage because other samples of this lens
had the same fault.
