Gary,
My 350 came with a drop-in filter holder in place... empty!
So perhaps no filter was included at all at the factory - I can't be
sure because I am not the first owner.
I bought one 46mm UV/haze filter separately (new, about $30), and also
one empty filter holder (used, $8) as a spare. I keep a circular
polfilter in that one, cut to size by myself (Olympus doesn't make
them). Manipulation is a bit awkward, since you have to set the filter
angle before sliding the holder into the lens... but it worked for my
occasional use.
