My brother has a Jolida integrated tube amp,
and really likes it. I listened to his
setup (with Epos ES-11 speakers) and it
was quite musical. Audio Advisor carried
the Jolida line of integrateds, and I think
that the 50W model sold for about $600 new.
Output tubes are EL34s. They have since
dropped the line, and carry the Musical
Fidelity line (they have an integrated
that is highly regarded, and sells for about
$600). Typical selling price for
used gear is about 500f new retail.
Some sites to check for used equipment:
www.audiogon.com
www.audioshopper.com
www.audioweb.com
Hope this helps.
Mike

Subject: [OM] Audiophile ?-very little Oly content
Please hit delete if you are not interested
in an audiophile question. But there does
seem to be a fair number of audio
enthusiasts on the list.
I've started following the audio auctions on Ebay
and I'd like to purchase a small integrated
amp to drive a pair of Spendor bookshelves
in my home office/darkroom (required Oly content.)
I'd like spend around $300 on Ebay.
I like the "tube" sound but it need not be
a tube unit. Any recommendations?
Mike
