I've heard owners of wooden tripods claim they get better results because
the wood seems to dampen vibration better than ultra-rigid 'pods.
Dunno, and now that I bring it up, I'm not sure I even wanna go there.
The fill flash idea sounds pretty neat. Looking forward to seeing the
results.

My latest efforts have been an experiment with using fill flash on
architecture. I am using a sunpak 555 with the ttl module for OM. I tried
shots using ttl and others with "normal auto". In "normal auto" I fooled
the flash by setting the film speed to 400 while the camera had 100
speed....
The german wood tripod I'm using is also very nice. I'm not sure if
it's as rigid as my titall, but it seems stiff enough.
