Sad, I was looking forward to the GR1 test, having got one. Yes, its
autofocus looks for a strong vertical line and needs for testing a strip of
something temporarily hanging down the map. The focus can then be locked in
'flashing SNAP' mode until either cancelled or the camera switched off.

For anyone else interested in the GR1, there are pictures, data and user
instructions on my website.

OM content: My walking about outfit consists of a body, usually my OM40,
fitted with the 35-70 f3.5-4.5 Zuiko in a small zoom bag with a 24mm f2.8
(used to be a Miranda, now it's a Zuiko) in the nose of the bag. The 28mm
gap is filled by the GR1 in my pocket.
