I am a "newbie" to this list and eBay (and most other astronomy/photography
knowledge/lists, as well)...
[I have no taste, I'm not selecting definitively better equipment, I am just
winging it on cheaper stuff for OM-1 use.]
About a month ago, I lost a bid (my first time... no advisors...)...
I see you mention a "sniping program" and wondered...
Is it freeware?
Is there a place I can 'acquire' it?
Does it need (come with instructions) ?
I am currently looking for a "28-300" -to- "35-200" class zoom for OM-1 and
a 66"-72" tripod for "backyard usage"... eBay appears to be the better
alternative so I could use a "sniping program" ! ! [I have looked through
KEH, Hands-on-optics, etc. and a bunch of Copernic references and will
continue, if necessary, those searches until I am satisfied.]
P.S. About 6 weeks ago, I lost my first bid but did get another OM-1
through eBay (and the local pro said it needed $48 service); sent it back
(still got stuck with the BidPay ~$10 to "sit on my payment for the NY, NY,
10 day float"!!! "NEWBIE, NEWBIE, NEWBIE"). [Got another one from list
member]
