Here is something very interesting for OM users, from the Canon FD
mailing list:
*********
According to the 29 July issue of Britain's AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHER
(pp4-5), Cosina's Voigtlander division:
...is to launch an SLR version of its manual-focus
75mm lens -- a Leica-mount optic originally
designed for its rangefinder series.
The 'Color Heliar 75mm f/2.5 SL' is expected to
cost #300 [$450 list].... It will be launched here
[England] in the latter part of August.
... the Color Heliar 75mm f/2.5 SL optic will be
available in Canon FD, Nikon AI-s, Minolta MD,
Olympus OM and Yashica CY-MM fits -- all bayonet
mounts. It will also be available in a Praktica
M-42 screw-thread mount....
The new lens has six elements in five groups and
will weigh in at 250g. It will feature a minimim
aperture of f/22 and have a 49mm size filter
thread.
Voigtlander has changed the lens's exterior design
and measurements to match the SLR format and
reduced the minimum focusing distance to 0.7m from
the 1.0m available in the L-mount model. A
dedicated lens hood will be available separately,
priced at #60 [$90 list].

List is typically 2X of retail, with grey market resellers historically
at .41x of list.
