I suppose that is the most important factor. It is impossible to exist and
make no impact. Whatever creative endeavor one pursues will not be immune
to some form of negative criticism.

I think the problem is the motive of the viewer. If the focus is on the
beauty of the human body, there can be little objection, but when the focus
turns to lust and self-gratification then a necessary defensive posture for
our loved ones is necessary, whether the medium is film, paint, or clay.
Unfortunately, it is often the inexperienced or naive that are used - at
their expense of course.
