Apologies if anyone has already mentioned this, I'm back in digest mode. The
British Journal of Photography newsletter says Ilford has improved its Delta
400 film:
"Ilford's new film is a revamped version of 400 Delta that incorporates the
same emulsion technology as 3200 Delta possible. The new film promises finer
grain and better speed than before: push-processing is said to be a
particular strength."
I found Delta 400 only gave a small improvement in grain over HP5, and
pushing was worse, so I stayed with the older film. Perhaps this new
material will be more tempting. The Luddite in me hopes not, I love HP5.
Like Tri-X fans would say, it's a great compromise (IMHO).
