Hi all
I'm off to chicago next weekend to see a couple of eygptology exhibitions;
while I'm there any picture-taking recommendations? I'll
be travelling with absolute minimum kit (om-4, 35-105, 28), and I'm
only in town for 4 days.
Hey, Pete, as a formerly frequent business traveler to Chicago, I'd
recommend any of the following:
The boat tour down the locks to the lake and back. Chicago is unique in
that much of downtown is below lake level, necessitating a series of locks
to prevent flooding (which occurred a few years ago). Pretty nifty if
you're interested in that sorta thing;
The El downtown - the elevated trains. Great photos can be taken of and
from the El;
The downtown subway station (you might wanna take a friend at night!);
The financial district has that classic old style big city look.
