Dirk,
Have you considered the possibility that the EXT-11 cable or the module
might be defective? The 555 as well as the OM-2n may also be defective.
Your initial statement that the module is NLA (I assume you mean no longer
available) has nothing to do with the function of the flash/camera system.
I have purchased many used EXT-10's as well as used OT-1D's and used 422's
and 30Dx's. Even though the flash units are NLA, they still work.
You could even make the same comment about an OM-2n, it is NLA, but many of
them still work.

Well folks, it appears that the dedicated Sunpak flash module for our
cameras is NLA. This is the part that allows Sunpak flashes to do TTL
on our cameras. I found one on the 'net for 15$, so I snarfed it up. I
bought an ext11 cord that goes from the module to a 555 flash and tried
the setup last night. The red light in the viewfinder of my OM-2n only
does the steady glow and not the flicker to indicate correct flash
exposure. I didn't have film in the camera, so that may have been the
problem. Anyone have experience with these products?
Be seeing you.
