Cheap tripod trix

Secure one end of a 4 foot cord (I used an old drapery pull)
to a 1/4 inch bolt or screw eye. When you need extra stability,
install in the tripod socket (carefully) and step on the other
end of the cord.  Like a rock!    Shaky Rick in VA
