Sounds like you may well have yourself a good deal on a good beater
after all. I did a last minute bid on the ugliest OM2S I have ever seen
after watching it on eBay with a starting bid of $80.00 with no takers
all the way to the end (until I bid that is). The top at the front of
the prism is dented, badly, the brassing brings a whole new meaning to
the word, but guess what? It works flawlessly. Half the shots taken the
last two times I have gone out have been with this body (after some test
rolls at my son's Little League games when I first got it) and it works
every bit as well as my other -2Ss. Ugly doesn't really matter to me,
results do. I would rather have this body, as ugly as it is, than the
pristine (and I do mean perfect looking) -2S a local camera repair shop
has for sale, broken-dead as a doornail, for something like $200.00
as-is. (Which is definatly too high.)
