Dirk, give it a try after studying up on calculating the GN. Burn-'em-up
bulbs lend a light quality that just can't be duplicated with electronic
flash, especially to b&w photography. That's one reason (among many) why
efforts at reproducing old-style photography is difficult with modern gear.
I, for one, would like to see the results of your burning a few bulbs. That
crackling sound ... that smell ... wish I could be there.

For those of us with OM-1 cameras, we can use flash bulbs! I have three
shoe mount flash bulb holders and about a gross (a dozen dozen) of
bulbs. Of course, if I could remember how to calculate aperture with
these things maybe I could use these bulbs up someday.
